SUMMARY:

When Black Jack Beers|Brewery in Manchester asked me to redesign their existing long established logo I jumped at the chance. The logo had to be based on a playing card black jack character as their original logo was, so as to keep some brand recognition for customers. It also had to be able to be carved in wood - have a woodcut style. 

This is the logo I hand drew for them. I followed the brief, made it cheeky with the ale glass, strong and upstanding with a strong crafted wood cut style. This logo has been very successful for them and it's versatility has meant its been used in very many scenarios.
