Scratchy Hen Design is the creative world of Jenny Parkington — illustrator, live illustrator, creative graphic designer, visual problem-solver, and collector of colourful ideas.

 

With a degree in graphic design and a career that naturally evolved into illustration, Jenny has spent over two decades creating bold, visually distinctive work that communicates clearly, connects quickly and stands out. Her background in graphic design brings strong visual thinking and structure to every project, while illustration allows space for personality, spontaneity and storytelling.

 

Whether live-sketching an event, designing an editorial layout, or helping a brand translate ideas into stand out visuals, every project is approached with curiosity, creativity, and combines strong concept thinking with unique illustration and thoughtful design.

 

Working from a studio shared with two ever-curious cat assistants, Jenny draws inspiration from everyday observations, conversations, vibrant colour palettes, and the pure joy of visual communication — creating designs that feel both engaging and authentic.
