HELLO - ABOUT ME

 

I'm Jenny Parkington and I am a freelance graphic designer|illustrator with over 2 decades of experience.

My Manchester design studio Scratchy Hen Design was launched in 1997 and have since worked on many different projects and collaborations worldwide.

 

My work is influenced by the mid century era and I create bold and unfussy designs with a nod to the Bauhaus movement. 

​

Formally I have a degree in graphic design from Salford University but many of my design skills are self taught through years of practice and experience, both with my design studio and other creative ventures - vintage gallery and a record label, to name a few.

I always begin with ideas and concepts, normally on paper with a Sharpie!
